The Arizona Center
Go to any major city's downtown area and you'll find
one spot that seems to give the whole place its
power. It's electricity. In Phoenix, that place is
Arizona Center. It's the center of it all. The
center of dining, the center of shopping and above
all, the center of attention. Arizona Center is
where Phoenix comes to life.
Arizona Science Center
The Arizona Science Center offers hands-on,
eye-opening fun with more than 300 interactive
exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium, five-story
giant-screen theater, live demonstrations, and
traveling exhibitions.
Phoenix Art Museum
Opened in 1959, Phoenix Art Museum is one of the
largest art museums in the Southwest and encompasses
about 160,000 square feet. Its collection spans the
globe and the centuries, with over 17,000 works of
American, Asian, European, Latin American, modern
and contemporary, and Western American art, and
fashion design. Its building was designed by the
architectural firm of Williams/Tsien and Associates
in New York. Tod Williams and Billie Tsien are again
designing the Museum's current expansion, which will
add a new lobby, four-level gallery wing and
sculpture court. Phoenix Art Museum welcomes over a
quarter of a million visitors each year and presents
exhibitions of the world's best art, a full slate of
enlightening and fun public programs and events, and
amenities designed to make your experience at the
Museum comfortable and memorable.
Civic Center
It's why Phoenix Civic Plaza is the premier meeting
destination of the Southwest. We offer a unique
business culture that strikes a balance between our
state-of-the-art facilities and our exciting
location within Copper Square, the cultural heart of
downtown Phoenix.
Phelps Dodge Tower
The Phelps Dodge Tower is located at the heart of
Phoenix’s Central Business District. In addition to
its magnificent views, the tower offers direct
access to fiber optics and available floor plates up
to 26,000 square feet. Retail space of 1,200 square
feet is available on the ground floor. This 460,000
square foot project boasts close proximity to the
courthouse/government agencies, as well as being
within walking distance to numerous restaurants and
entertainment venues.
Herberger Theater
Mission Statement: To support and foster growth of
the performing arts in Phoenix as the premier
performance venue, arts incubator and advocate.
Orpheum Theater
After 12 years, $14 million and an incredible amount
of perseverance, the historic Orpheum Theatre has
been renovated for "adaptive reuse," restoring as
much of its visible splendor as possible, while
retrofitting it as a modern theatre capable of
handling anything Broadway sends its way. And its
marquee at Second Avenue and Adams Street again
announces the names of first class productions,
drawing thousands of people to a vibrant downtown
venue.
The Orpheum is operated by the City of Phoenix
Stages Division, which also runs Symphony Hall and
the Symphony Hall Terrace. Friends of the Orpheum
provide educational and restoration support through
volunteer and fundraising programs.
America West Arena
Home to three of Phoenix's hottest sports teams: NBA
Phoenix Suns, WNBA Phoenix Mercury, AFL Arizona
Rattlers.
Phoenix Museum of History
The Phoenix Museum of History is dedicated to
collecting, preserving, and exhibiting the early
history of Phoenix. Visitors of all ages enjoy
interactive and educational exhibits showcasing
Phoenix’s metamorphosis from a dusty desert town to
a modern metropolis. Now in its seventh decade, the
museum continues to receive recognition and
appreciation for its contribution to the cultural
life of Phoenix. Come discover how time and place
have influenced modern Phoenix, and the stories of
the city's exciting and colorful past.
Dodge Theater
The completely different Dodge Theatre promises to
change the way you think about live entertainment.
It's as large as you need but as intimate as you
want. The Dodge Theatre is a state of the art
entertainment venue designed specifically for
concerts, Broadway shows, family stage shows,
boxing, and convention meetings. Our seating can
vary from 1,900 to 5,000 for concerts, 5,500 for
sporting or corporate events, and with innovative
moving sidewalls, provides an intimate setting for
proscenium events.
The Dodge Theatre marries the classic, fully rigged
Broadway stage house, with the pulsating excitement
of modern arena technologies. State-of-the-art music
sound systems and premier patron comforts usher in a
new era in performance venue evolution.
Symphony Hall
Home of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Arizona
Opera and Ballet Arizona. The multi-purpose Symphony
Hall is also the site for Broadway touring
companies, ballet and a variety of dance
productions, and appearances by popular
entertainers, as well as the location for business
seminars, and convention general sessions.
Chase
Ballpark

that combines a retractable roof, air conditioning
and a natural turf field. This unique combination of
features makes Chase Ballpark the ideal venue for a
wide variety of events any time during the year. In
the case of changing weather conditions, we've got
you covered in under 5 minutes. Chase Ballpark is
home to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Phoenix Police Museum
In October 1993, the Phoenix Police Museum started
as a small exhibit at the Historic City Hall, 17 S.
Second Ave. With the assistance of Cindy Myers from
the Phoenix Museum of History, a temporary six-month
display was created. The event was enthusiastically
received. The Arizona Humanities Council funded a
study of the artifacts to determine if enough
material existed to open a small museum and it was
determined that there was. Barrister Place was
selected as the permanent site of the museum.
Through generous donations from Motorola, the area
was painted and re-carpeted. Home Depot, Store #455,
donated construction material for the creation of
exhibit areas. The Police Department provided phones
and an alarm system. Volunteers prepared the
exhibits including a mock up of a 1910 city street
and an old jail cell.
The opening of the first exhibit in the Barrister
Place location was on Friday, Oct. 6, 1995.
Museo Chicano
Museo Chicano is the first and only museum in
Arizona that was founded and is operated by Latinos.
It is a non-profit, community-based museum that
promotes knowledge and appreciation of the cultures
of Latinos. Our museum does so by presenting local
and international exhibitions and educational
programs on the art, history, and cultures of
Latinos.
Heritage Square
Historic Heritage Square is a striking remnant of
Phoenix’s Victorian past. The Rosson House is the
cornerstone of a city block dating from the late
1800s. Museums, shops and restaurants now inhabit
the block, which encompasses the only remaining
group of residential structures from the original
townsite of Phoenix. Historic Heritage Square is a
part of Heritage & Science Park that includes the
Arizona Science Center (602-716-2000), Phoenix
Museum of History(602-253-2734), restaurants and a
parking garage. The park is operated by the city of
Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department in
conjunction with the Rosson House-Heritage Square
Foundation.
